A lot of times we hear these words used interchangeably during our everyday marketing conversations…

But how many of you know the clear difference between these words?

Well, here it is…

Feature: Something your product does or has
Example: Detailed metrics dashboard

Benefit: What the feature enables for customers
Example: Easy to visualize overall metrics in one single place

Value: How this feature maps to a goal the customer is trying to achieve
Example: Every part of the organization can make better decisions based on accurate, real-time metrics.

Your features enable benefits for customers, which can be translated into a value that your customer is trying to achieve.

Hope it makes sense now :)
